Soft Rockstar centers around six souls in 1970’s Harlem who, after traumatic events in their lives, struggle to overcome subsequent crippling stagnation and pursue their work. In a night club The Half Note, a talent manager and his talent wash up, a writer can’t write, a young scientist won’t go back to school, a rockstar comes home, and a Southern housewife steals all their money.  In a city where music is a location and doorways are sounds, Soft Rockstar begs the question; Does goodness matter? (And why did Dylan cover his beautiful face?)
